Student-tutoring (and the Tutoring activity or Tutor-toiminta) means that
an older student helps the new students to get familiar with the new University. Each student ought to have both a Student-tutor and a
teacher-tutor. The teacher tutor will help you with studies; the
Student-tutor will take you to parties :)
The Tutoring program is coordinated and developed in TaiK by
the Teaching and Learning Support Services TALSS aka OOP.
The Student Union TOKYO takes some part in tutoring too.
Don't hesitate to email or call your Tutor: check the personal info from the lists below. You can use the tutor
taik.fi common mailing list to contact all the tutors. The Tutoring coordination can be reached via tutorinfotaik.fi. You are welcome as well to drop by the TOKYO office with any questions you might have.

Tuutorointi (Tutor-toiminta) on sitä, että vanhempi opiskelija auttaa uuden opiskelijan alkuun taikissa ja saa olon tuntumaan kotoisaksi. Jokaisella opiskelijalla on opettaja- ja opiskelijatuutori. Opettajatuutori auttaa sinua HOPSin ja kurssien kanssa, ja opiskelijatuutori vie taas sinut juhliin :)
Tutorointiohjelmaa koordinoi ja kehittää TaiKissa Opetus ja- Opiskelijapalvelut OOP. Myös TOKYO osallistuu tutorointiin liittyviin asioihin jonkin verran.
Tavoitat kaikki opiskelijatuutorit tutortaik.fi sähköpostilistan kautta. Lähetä viesti niin luemme sen. Älä myöskään pelkää ottaa yhteyttä omiin tuutoreihisi. Soita tai lähetä sähköpostia.
Löydät oman tuutorisi alla olevista listoista. Voit tulla myös TOKYOn toimistolle kyselemään jos olet utelias.

The Tutors invite to Kiasma on 03.2.2010
The tutors host the new students in Kiasma on Wednesday February 3rd 2010 at 5:30 p.m. See you there! Afterwards we can all head to some nice bar... Siltanen it is, where Tokyo and the Tutors offer snacks and fun too.
OOP's info for new students
Enrolment
Enrolment for new exchange students is to be done during the enrolment day on Monday January 11th 2010. It is recommended that all new students arrive in Finland by this date.
Orientation day
The Orientation day for the Spring term takes place on Monday January 18th 2010. Among others newly arrived students will meet their fellow Student-tutors, who will offer a tour around the University.

Fuksiaiset Spring 2009
...For the students arriving in TaiK this term, their party took place on Thursday 26.2.2009
- Dear new students at TaiK, the Tutors Team prepared a party specially for you guys... It's called Fuksiaiset.
- The Blue Party started at 5:30 p.m. in the cafe/foyer of the 'Kino Marilyn' movie theater (Media Center Lume). Among others blue muffins, blue drinks and the blues were served... Humppa rhythms and dance lessons were also in the program. The party then continued at 7 p.m in Kipsari: Media Lab DJs and VJs warmed-up the atmosphere. A good number of students and friends joined in.
