Tervetulojuhla (Fuksiaiset, Freshco, Aarresafari jne.) on usein ensimmäinen suurihappening johon uuden opiskelijat TaiKkiin saapuessaan pääsevät osallistumaan. Fuksiksi kutsutaan suomalaisten korkeakoulujen ensimmäisen vuosikurssin ylioppilaita. Kauppakorkeakoullussa uusia opiskelijoita kutsutaan mursuiksi ja Turun kauppakorkeakoulussa taas pupuiksi. TaiKissa monesti nimitys on yksinkertaisesti vain uusi opiskelija.
Tuutorit järjestävät tervetulojuhlan ("fuksiaiset") kahdesti vuodessa, syksyllä ja keväällä. Juhlan järjestämistä helpottavat ja auttavat TOKYO ry ja OOP.
The event&party for new students is organized by TaiK's Tutors (check out the Team 2011-2012), with the collaboration of the TOKYO association. The Tutoring program of Aalto University School of Art and Design is coordinated and developed at the Teaching and Learning Support Services OOP in cooperation with the Aalto University Student Union AYY and the TOKYO association (TOKYO ry in Finnish).

Kevät|Spring: The Blue Party
...For the students arriving in TaiK this term, their Fuksiaiset took place on Thursday 26.2.2009
- The Tutors Team prepared a special party for the new Spring students at TaiK. The Blue Party started at 5:30 p.m. in the cafe/foyer of the 'Kino Marilyn' movie theater
(Media Center Lume). The party then continued at 7 p.m in Kipsari: Media Lab DJs and VJs warmed-up the atmosphere. A good number of students and friends joined in.

- "...Let's get together, beat the winter blues, and warm up the cold days of February. The event has been planned specially for you to meet NEW faces around Taik, and get to know OLD fellows as well. We'll have drinks, snacks, live music and dance..."

Vanhat opiskelijat olivat mukaan juhlimaan Kipsariin klo 19.00 jälkeen.

Syksy|Autumn - Freshco party
Freshco-party järjestettiin torstaina 13.9.2007. Ohjelma alkoi viideltä Lumeen aulassa. Ohjelmassa oli muun muassa aarteenetsintää, palkintoja, boolia!
Kello kuudesta eteenpäin vanhat opiskelijat olivat tervetulleita liittymään juhliin mukaan Kipsariin.

Menestys ei ollut niin suuri kuin syksyllä mutta uudet opiskelijat tunsivat varmasti olonsa tervetulleeksi. Ilta oli kiva jatkumo Orientaatiopäiville 7.1.08 jossa tuutorit esittäytyvät ja TOKYOn uusi pääsihteeri Anna piti esityksen ylioppilaskunnan toiminnasta. Tuntui että ensimmäistä kertaa informaatio oli mennyt kaikille jakeluun ja kaikki toimijat olivat paikalla yhtä aikaa. Myös Taikin kv-sihteeri Helena Härkönen kiitteli opiskelijoita ammattimaisesta, mutta rennosta toiminnasta.
